A Trojan Invasion

A minor accused of attempting to steal a condom May 19 from on 23 Mile and Gratiot was ordered to return the unopened item, police said.

At approximately 9:30 p.m., police arrived at the store where loss prevention officers say a minor opened a Trojan condom box, removed a sole condom and concealed it in his jacket. He hung the box back on the shelf and proceeded to leave the store without paying for it, police said.

The minor's parents were called to the store, which did not wish to press charges. The suspect was released in his parents' care.

Sticker Switching Shopper Suddenly Sick

A Meijer shopper switched price tags on sporting good merchandise May 16 to pay about $180 less than the item's worth, police said.

After changing stickers on a tent worth $19.99 and one marked $199.99 tent and then buying the latter one for cheap, the suspect was stopped by the store's loss preventions officer. Suddenly the male shopper said he was experiencing breathing problems and was transported to Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center for examination. He admitted to switching the sticker prices, police said.
