The following information was supplied by New Baltimore police. Arrest information does not indicate convictions.

Driver heads wrong way from bachelor party

A 40-year-old New Baltimore man was charged this month with operating under the influence of alcohol after police noticed his head down while the car was rolling forward in the Green and Washington.

At approximately 2 a.m. June 3, noticed a 2006 Chrysler with the driver's head downward as if he was sleeping or texting. The driver came to a stop at a red light, but then was slow to react when it turned green and then began to swerve on Green Street, according to a police report.

The man told police he was coming from a bachelor party and was then heading to St. Clair Shores—although he was going in the opposite direction.

He was administered a Breathalyzer that resulted in .19 percent blood-alcohol level—more than double the state's legal limit. He was lodged in Macomb County Jail in lieu of a $300 bond, police said.
