Christmas Display Damaged, Paintballs Fired at Garage, Lights Knocked from Sign

Grinchy suspect yanks Christmas cords

Someone damaged a holiday display last Saturday night on Bower Drive in Chesterfield Township, police said.

The home owner reported that a six-foot extension cord that was the power source for several lawn decorations was cut. Another cord used for a separate decoration was missing a four-inch section, the report stated.

No suspects were known at the time.

Sign lights knocked out

Two main signs were damaged last weekend in the Meadows At Anchor Bay complex off Jefferson, New Baltimore police said this week.

Between the night of Nov. 23 and the morning Nov. 24, lights were destroyed by a rock and others were ripped out. The estimated damage was around $350, the report stated.

Paintballs fired at garage

Paintballs were shot at a garage late Nov. 23 on Embassy Street in Chesterfield Township, police said.

Around 10 p.m., a resident heard a loud bang outside his home, but was unable to see anything. He found someone shot eight orange paintballs at his garage. A neighbor reported seeing a white Monte Carlo speeding away from the residence at the time, police said.

There were no known suspects at the time.
