Kids Shop With Cops for Christmas Gifts in Chesterfield Township

The Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 112 with New Baltimore police, Chesterfield Township police and other departments helped brighten the holidays for local children.

Local police patrolled the aisles of a Chesterfield Township store this week.

But, instead of searching for bad guys, they were hunting down the perfect Christmas gifts with area kids.

The annual Cops & Kids event hosted by Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 112 took place Tuesday night at the Walmart on Hall Road. Police from New Baltimore, Chesterfield Township, the Macomb County Sheriff's Office and other Metro Detroit departments were among those present, according to New Baltimore Police Chief Tim Wiley.
