Male Body Parts Painted on Garage, Hot Dogs Suspected as Pit Bull Bait, BMW Hit-and-Run

A resident in Zachary Court reported to police that sometime after midnight Dec. 16, someone spray painted a male body part on her garage door with black paint.

There are no suspects at this time, police say.

BMW hit-and-run

A Chesterfield resident reported to police that shortly after 4:30 p.m. Dec. 16, a BMW rear-ended his vehicle while he was stopped at the light on 23 Mile at Waterside Drive. The driver of the BMW fled the scene, according to police.

The accident caused minor damage to the rear bumper of the victim's car, police say.

Police say they are looking for a dark grey BMW with possible license plate combinations CR310 or CRY310.

Hot dogs suspected of being pit bull bait

A Chesterfield resident reports that sometime late Dec. 11, someone threw or placed three hot dogs on her patio, which she suspects were laced with some sort of substance intended to injure her dogs, according to police.

Police say the hot dogs did not appear to have been tampered with, but the resident said she intends to have them tested to make certain.

There are no suspects at this time, according to police.

Shoplifter snags scent at Meijer

A would-be Meijer shoplifter was stopped Dec. 14 after an employee noticed the man attempting to conceal multiple bottles of cologne in his hoodie, according to police. 

When the man was confronted in the store's foyer, he dropped the bottles – $80 worth – and fled in a light blue four-door Grand Am, police said.

The suspect has not been identified.
