Man Searching for Freshwater Clams Finds Human Skull in Creek

The remains have not been identified at this time, according to authorities.

A Port Huron resident looking for freshwater clams found a human skull Thursday in Mill Creek, according to the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office.

The discovery in Clyde Township took place when Frank Kozlowski was in the Beard Hills State Game Area around 5 p.m. He reached under a log in the water and found the unidentified human skull, the sheriff's office reports.

He placed the skull on shore and then, along with his companions, called the sheriff's office. A deputy and detective came out to the area to investigate and the dive team was deployed. Divers found other bones in the water that was three to four feet deep, the office stated.
