Neighbor Charged With Murder, Doctor Convicted in Health Fraud Scheme and More Crime Nearby

Here's a look at what crimes made headlines in neighboring communities over the past week.

Clinton Township 

A Clinton Township podiatrist was convicted with two other medical professionals in Detroit on federal charges of health care fraud and controlled substance distribution, according to U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade's office. 

Chesterfield Township 

A 34-year-old Chesterfield Township man was arrested in a far-reaching federal operation that netted 255 alleged child predators from across the United States and beyond, federal authorities said.

Grosse Pointe 

A 42-year-old man was charged in an arrest warrant with first-degree murder, felony murder and unarmed robbery in connection to a Grosse Pointe Park woman's death.

Harrison Township 

A 31-year-old Fair Haven man was arrested after crashing his boat on Lake St. Clair while highly intoxicated, police said.

St. Clair Shores 

St. Clair Shores police worked with neighboring departments to investigate a series of robberies of T-Mobile cellular phone stores.
