Three Ira Township women were taken to a Mount Clemens hospital. A baby was checked for injuries at the accident scene.
A 50-year-old New Baltimore driver crashed into four people, including a small child, Sunday night in Ira Township, police said Monday.
Three of the pedestrians--women, ages 44, 43 and 22, all of Ira Township--were taken to McLaren Macomb Hospital in Mount Clemens following the crash. A 1-year-old child inside a stroller was checked for injuries at the accident scene, the St. Clair County Sheriff's Office stated. The women's conditions were not immediately released.
The accident took place around 8:30 p.m. Sunday when the New Baltimore woman headed southbound on Bethuy Road north of Dixie Highway. Her vehicle came around a curve, striking the individuals walking along a fog line, the Sheriff's Office said.
