Teens, Adult Taken to Hospital After Crash

Chesterfield Township firefighters responded to the accident at approximately 4 p.m. Monday off Baker near 23 Mile.

Three teens and one adult were taken to the hospital Monday following a two-car crash off Baker Road in Chesterfield Township, firefighters said.

"We had one car with three teenagers in it and the other car with one adult and a teenager,” Fire Capt. Richard Schroeder said immediately after the collision. “We transported four of them.”

Three of the teens and the adult were taken to Mount Clemens Regional Medical Center for treatment of what's expected to be minor injuries, Schroeder said.

Slightly before 4 p.m. Monday, the cars crashed on Baker Road between 23 and 24 Mile roads. One of the cars appeared to flip on its side while the other received front-end damage. Firefighters and paramedics arrived soon after in multiple emergency vehicles while police blocked off traffic in both directions on Baker Road.

Further details, including the cause of the crash, were not immediately known in the early stages of the investigation.
