A maintenance supervisor at a Chesterfield Towship business reported that approximately 1,000 pounds of valuable aluminum tailings were missing last week, police said.

Around 9 a.m. Jan. 16, a supervisor at Advanced Integrated Tool Solutions at 29700 Commerce Boulevard said the parts were taken from a container overnight. A smaller amount of aluminum scraps were also missing earlier this month, according to a police report.

The stolen materials were valued at about $10,000, the report stated.
