Woman Arrested on St. Patrick's Day for Child Endangerment

The Lenox Township woman was stopped by Macomb County Sheriff's deputies in Chesterfield Township.

A 32-year-old Lenox Township woman was arrested Sunday on suspicion of child endangerment and operating under the influence of drugs in Chesterfield Township, according to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office.

The arrest took place around 8:30 p.m. on St. Patrick's Day in the Gratiot and 24 Mile area. During that time, deputies pulled over the woman for erratic driving. Once they approached the car, they noticed two children--ages 2 and 4--unrestrained in the back of the vehicle, Lt. John Michalke of the Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies said the woman smelled of marijuana and she told them she is a medical marijuana cardholder. She failed to pass field sobriety tests and did not have a prescription for numerous pills in her possession, the Sheriff's Office states.

She was taken to a local hospital where her blood was drawn for analysis. In addition to child endangerment and operating under the influence of drugs, she was charged with possession of analogues. Her children were turned over to their grandmother, the Sheriff's Office said.

St. Patrick's Day arrests

Sheriff Anthony Wickersham reports that deputies arrested seven people for drunken driving offenses during a 24-hour period on the holiday.

“We will continue our efforts to reduce the number of alcohol related crashes on Macomb County Roads” Wickersham said in a prepared statement.

Can't fix stupid, but you can sterolize her. that way she doesn't have any more kids to endanger. Real P.O.S. she is.
