Update: Woman Stabbed at Chesterfield Motor Inn, Suspect At Large

Chesterfield Police are searching for the suspect, 32-year-old Anessiah Lynn Bush, described as being 5 foot 7 inches tall, 160 pounds with long black hair.

are searching for a suspect in a stabbing incident that occurred at approximately 4 a.m. today at the on Gratiot.

A 55-year-old female suffered a knife wound to the side of the head and ear and was taken to Mount Clemens Regional Hospital for treatment. Chesterfield Det. Sgt. Deron Myers said the woman's injuries were not life threatening.

Police are looking for Annessiah Lynn Bush. The Macomb County Prosecutor's Office has issued a warrant for Bush, charging her with assault with intent to do great bodily harm, a 10-year felony.

Bush, a 32-year-old black female, about 5 foot 7 inches tall, with long black hair, fled the area on foot. She was last seen wearing blue jeans and a short sleeve shirt heading southbound on Gratiot.

Before grabbing a knife from the kitchen counter and striking the victim in the ear, the suspect threw bleach into the victim's face, Myers said. He added it is believed the pair were in a dating relationship.

The suspect currently has an outstanding felony warrant for her arrest for violating her probation on an unrelated “assault with dangerous weapon” charge, according to police.

Chesterfield Police set up a perimeter in the Gratiot and 23 Mile Road area and employed the Macomb County Sheriff's K9 unit to search the area. However, both attempts were unsuccessful and the suspect is still at large.

Police advise that Bush has an extensive criminal history and "should be considered armed and dangerous."

Anyone with information is asked to call the Chesterfield Township Police at 586-949-2322.

The Chesterfield Motor Inn is located at 50900 Gratiot, near 23 Mile Road.

How much crime is going to happen at that motel before it finally gets shut down?:
Christina July 08, 2011 at 05:49 PM
That building is a blight and a magnet for crime in this community. If the owner won't sell, they need to shut him down and prevent him from operating. Maybe then he'll sell and someone can finally bulldoze that eyesore.
kidcat24 July 09, 2011 at 04:15 AM
This building needs to come down. Heroin is sold there. The police have been told and do nothing about it.

I know of 2 people to attempt suicide there. My aunt being one of them chose a seedy motel to go and it was there. She overdosed at about 11:00am No one found her till 6:00pm later that day and check out was at 11:00am. I stayed there for 2 months in the transition of moving into the area searching for the right place for our family. A man just last night slit his wrists blood everywhere dont know if he made it or not. I know that the people staying there long term harrass the others who want to be left alone begging for smokes, use of your phone, selling burnt illegal dvd's knocking on your door at 12;00am. crack head ladies running around. The worst of it is the front office management. The lady with short brown hair is mean, rude, thoughtless as to how she speaks to you as if because you are staying at her dive you must be trash. Little does she think that it is acknoledgement of her dive treating people that way. I heard she owns the dump. Now stabbings Shut that place down!! Come on people The State of Michigan should look into letting that eye sore shut down and if for nothing else public safety!!!!

Obviously some kind of kick back to the police. The police know exactly what goes on at that Motor Inn, and do nothing about it.

patty windorf February 07, 2012 at 04:41 PM
Kidcat24....please be honest.. we know all about what the news media has shown, fox 2 news. Redacted their story about us and the mom who followed her son to the motel had no proof, thatch her son did any drug use there...drugs are everywhere if a person wants drugs they can get them at any motel, and behind any building...Please know this if we ever suspect drug dealing or use, the tenants are evicted...no way do want them there...Our loyal long term tenants keep us informed...
kidcat24 February 07, 2012 at 07:33 PM
Seems there is a lot of local business dealings going on.
candi cane February 08, 2012 at 06:42 AM
Seems to me that for being a big shot owner you cant even spell. Second I am not aware of any eviction. I do know that your bathroom electrical plugs are not up to code and can cause serious electrical shock if not fixed. I know that place is not up to code. kidcat24 maybe if enough people complain something can be done if we pass it on to 10 people each any they do the same we can make change. If we choose to lower ourself to the part owner arguements here then we can say we are no better then the trash they represent. Reading the comments from a owner of a motel that they say isnt trash seems to me the way they talk that words say enough . you are not professional on any level and if others see this they will see. Infact I say kidcat24 we let 2-4-7 see this and see what they say??
candi cane February 08, 2012 at 06:45 AM
you know kidcat the lady who cant spell and seems not so professional is the desk lady and repair man. seems to me that when people are that defensive that they are for a reason and usually have something to hide.............
candi cane February 08, 2012 at 06:49 AM

For a owner to rant on a forum like this, shows your inability to run anything! As members of this community what our perception of your establishment is YOUR reality ( if if u don't know it yet). Option 1. Clean it up! Sign , landscape, rooms, paint... The list can go on and on! Option 2. Sell it! Option 3. Deal with all the people who demand you do something. Choice is yours, as a owner make the right one to change our perception... You just might end up happier person too!

Patti Windorf, how in the world do you lay your head down at night knowing that you contribute to the CRIME in our city because of your ownership of such an establishment!! The Chesterfield MOTOR INN is a disgrace to OUR City! You should be ashamed for your children and your children's children because you are living on greed! To own a hotel that is a just a big CRACK HOUSE is disgusting!
Angela Hudson Peralta November 28, 2012 at 05:45 AM
Patti how do you sleep at night knowing that you own the chesterfield motor inn? I know for a fact that the bus brings scum right in from of that disgusting crack house to get dropped off only to commit crime around that area and then lay their head down at your disgrace that you call a hotel knowing they just got over on a legit business or a civilian! HOW DO YOU LOOK IN THE MIRROR????????? I would be ashamed!
