Firework Stands Coming to Chesterfield

Local vendors are gearing up for Fourth of July with displays throughout the community.

Multiple firework tents were approved by a board majority Monday night to set up in Chesterfield Township.

Among the temporary vendor locations gearing up for Fourth of July this summer are:

  • 33195 Gratiot
  • 50860 Gratiot
  • 33195 23 Mile
  • 45400 Marketplace Blvd.

While some members expressed concerns about the seasonal vendors because of tent sizes and their temporary stance in the community. However, a majority of the trustees approved the stands.

"These companies come in for two weeks and bring their tents and then, they're gone," Trustee Brian Scott DeMuynck said. "We have businesses that pay property taxes that sell them too."

Permanent business Buscemi's, 54800 Gratiot, was also approved to set up a fireworks tent in its parking lot.
