Voters Support Candidates for Stances on Taxes, Healthcare and Other Domestic Issues

Republican voters cast ballots in New Baltimore on Tuesday morning.

Republican voters eagerly cast their votes Tuesday morning in New Baltimore at the Precinct One and Two inside City Hall on Green Street.

Resident Greg Rich, 62, said he was mainly driven to the polls in hopes of unseating President Barack Obama.

“No. 1, I want Obama out of office,” said Rich, adding that he had many other reasons for supporting another candidate he declined to identify.

While Romney’s Michigan roots didn’t play a role in her decision, she says he’s the right man to represent Americans on domestic issues, such as gas prices, housing and taxes.

“Even though he’s not perfect, I think he’s still the best for me,” she said.
