New Baltimore Approves Fiscal Budget

Taxpayers will see a slight increase due to Macomb Community College's debt millage.

New Baltimore residents will pay slightly higher taxes this year due to a countywide college debt tax, according to the city's recently approved fiscal budget.

The total millage for New Baltimore residents for the 2011 tax year is 40.97. That's factoring in the city's new summer tax rate of 35.02 and the projected 5.94 winter rate, treasurer Jeanne Bade said Tuesday.
