State Rep. LaFontaine to Discuss Low Lake Levels in Chesterfield Township

The state representative is scheduled to talk at the Tuesday Board of Trustees meeting in Municipal Offices.

Chesterfield Supervisor Michael Lovelock invited State Rep. Andrea LaFontaine to speak at the next board meeting regarding potential state solutions for lake levels.

Lovelock said his request comes on the heels of scores of lakeside residents reaching out to Chesterfield Township officials regarding alarmingly low levels on Lake St. Clair. Many township residents, he said, are concerned about the upcoming boating season and whether dredging is a possibility.

LaFontaine is scheduled to speak at the 7 p.m. Tuesday board meeting in municipal offices.
