Edwards Boasts a 4.0 and Sits First Chair

The Anchor Bay Middle School North eighth-grader juggles academics, band and multiple clubs with ease.

Whiz Kid:  Danielle Edwards

Age: 14

Accomplishments:  This Anchor Bay Middle School North eighth-grader maintains a 4.0 grade point average while juggling a busy schedule of band, clubs and sports.

Musically, Edwards is first chair clarinet for the symphonic band and honors band.  She received a scholarship to the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp and has participated in honors choir for two years.

She is a member of the National Junior Honors Society and tackles advanced math and social studies and honors language arts.

Edwards has served on Student Council for four years, participates in the Peer Education Prevention Program (P.E.P.P.) and is a member of the Great Oaks Health Team. 

She’s been a Girl Scout for six years and plays premier soccer.

Key to Success: “My key of success would be from the support of my family, friends, teachers, coach and my peers,” said Edwards. “Being independent and being determined to reach my goals and dream is another reason why I am where I am.”
