Parents and Community Members Invited to Review Abstinence Education Program

Anchor Bay parents and community members are invited to attend one of two meetings — either June 6 or 8 at 5 p.m. — in the Anchor Bay Middle School North Media Center.

There, they'll review a new program and materials to be a part of the Health Education curriculum: The SWIFT Program (Sexual Wellness and Information for Teens). SWIFT is funded by a federal grant that provides an abstinence approach to sexual health education, and it will be presented by YMCA trainers.

Attendees will also be able to review the Anchor Bay human growth and development curriculum and have questions answered. Materials will be available in the curriculum office located in the Administration offices at MacDonald Elementary at 5201 County Line Road, Casco weekdays from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
