The school district's 2013-14 calendar has been released.
L'Anse Creuse Public Schools announced important dates for the upcoming school year:
August 27, Tuesday: Full Day Professional Development* (Staff who have met school improvement goals for student growth will not be required to attend on this day.)
August 28, Wednesday: ½ Day - Professional Development ½ Day – Teacher work time

September 3, Tuesday: School opens – full day for all students and teachers

September 4, 11, 18, 25 Wednesday: 1 hour early release for all students; 1-1/2 hours professional work time for teachers
October 1, Tuesday: Middle School/High School - mid-marking reports due by 9:00 a.m.
October 2, 9, 16, 23, 30 Wednesday: 1 hour early release for all students; 1 1/2 hours professional work time for teachers
October 9, Wednesday: High School/Pankow - three hour evening Parent/Teacher Conferences
October 10, Thursday: High School/Pankow students - three and one-half hour early dismissal; two and one-half hour afternoon and three hour evening Parent Teacher Conferences
October 11, Friday: High School/Pankow - no school for students and teachers
October 15, Tuesday: Elementary - mid-marking reports due by 9:00 a.m.
November 1, Friday: Middle School students - three and one-half hour early dismissal; ½ day records day for Middle School teachers Middle School/High School - End of 1st marking period
November 5, Tuesday: School closed for all students, Professional Development Day – All Teachers Middle School/High School - Grades due by 9:00 a.m.
November 6, 13, 20 Wednesday: 1 hour early release for all students; 1-1/2 hours professional work time for teachers
November 13, Wednesday: Middle School - three hour evening Parent/Teacher Conferences
November 14, Thursday: Middle School students - three and one-half hour early dismissal Middle School - three hour afternoon and three hour evening parent/teacher conferences November 15, Friday Middle School – no school for students and teachers
November 26, Tuesday: Elementary - three and one-half hour early dismissal; ½ day records day for elementary teachers; End of 1st marking period
November 27, Wednesday: Thanksgiving Recess - School closed for all students and teachers
December 2, Monday: School reopens - Full day for all students and teachers
December 3, Tuesday: Elementary - Grades due by 9:00 a.m.

December 4, Wednesday: Elementary - three hour evening parent/teacher conferences
December 5, Thursday: Elementary students– three and one half hour early dismissal; Elementary - three hour afternoon and three hour evening conferences for elementary teachers
December 6, Friday: Elementary - No School for students and teachers
December 10, Tuesday: Middle School/High School - mid-marking reports due by 9:00 a.m.
December 20, Friday: Winter Recess begins at the end of day for all students and teachers
January 6, Monday: School reopens - Full day for all students and teachers
January 8, 15, 22, 29 Wednesday: Elementary/Middle School students - 1 hour early release for all students; 1-1/2 hours professional work time for teachers
January 8, 15, 29: High School/Pankow students - 1 hour early release for students; 1-1/2 hours professional work time for teachers
January 20, Monday: Martin Luther King Jr.'s Birthday Observance, School closed for all students, Full Day - Professional Development for all teachers
January 21, 22, 23: High School students - Final exams; One-half day for students
January 24: Friday School closed for all students, Full records day for all teachers, Middle School/High School students - End of second marking period/first semester
January 28, Tuesday: Middle/High School - Grades due by 9:00 a.m. Elementary - mid-marking reports due by 9:00 a.m.
February 5, 12, 19, 26 Wednesday: One-hour early release for all students; 1-1/2 hours professional work time for all teachers
February 14, Friday: School Closed for all students and teachers – Mid-Winter Break February 18, Tuesday School reopens - Full day for all students and teachers
February 25, Tuesday: Middle School/High School – mid-marking reports due by 9:00 a.m.
March 5, 12, 19, 26 Wednesday: One-hour early release for all students; 1-1/2 hours professional work time for all teachers (except March 5th – High School – see below)
March 4, Tuesday: High School MME Testing – Students – Classes in session for Juniors only – no school for Freshmen, Sophomores, and Seniors. All staff to report. High school staff released at 12:50.
March 5, Wednesday: High School MME Testing – Classes in session all day for Juniors. Classes in session 10:55 a.m. to 1:20 p.m. for Freshman, Sophomores, and Seniors. One half of high school staff reports in a.m., remainder of staff reports for full day.
March 5, Wednesday: High School/Pankow - Parent-Teacher conferences 1-1/2 hours

April 1: Tuesday Middle School/High School – Grades due by 9:00 a.m.

April 29, Tuesday: Elementary - mid-marking reports due by 9:00 a.m.
May 6, Tuesday: Middle School/High School – mid-marking reports by 9:00 a.m.
May, 7, 14, 21, 28 Wednesday: 1 hour early release for all students; 1-1/2 hours professional work time for all teachers
May 22, Thursday: Elementary students - three and one-half hour early dismissal; ½ day records day for elementary teachers
May 23, Friday: Memorial Day Recess - School closed for all students and teachers
May 27, Tuesday: School reopens - Full day for all students and teachers
June 4, 5 ,6: Final exams for High School students. One-half day for students
June 4, Wednesday: Elementary/Middle School students - 1 hour early release; 1-1/2 hours professional work time for elementary and middle school teachers
June 5, Thursday: Middle School students - one-half day; one half day records day for middle school teachers
June 6, Friday: Last day of school for students, End of final marking period/second semester/school year, Three and one-half hour early dismissal for all students, Teacher checkout time - afternoon
Parent-teacher conferences, marking period dates, etc. are subject to change to meet district needs. Twelve of the Wednesday early-release professional development days will be designated as personal preparation for all teachers.
