L'Anse Creuse Board Appoints Treasurer

The board made the unanimous decision Monday night during a regularly scheduled meeting.

L’Anse Creuse Public Schools Board of Education unanimously voted Monday night to appoint Charles Eslinger, filling a vacancy left by Treasurer Jeffrey DiPascale, according to the district.

The decision comes after the school board interviewed five candidates for the position that expires Dec. 31, 2014.

“All five candidates were remarkable people and would have brought something unique and special to the board,” Board President Kenneth Hoover said in a prepared statement. “However, in the end, Mr. Eslinger’s previous experience is instrumental to the hard work that lies ahead.”
