L'Anse Creuse Board Member Resigns

An interim seat is open in light of the Teresa Taggart's resignation. Moving out of district, Taggart has served for more than 14 years on the board.

A longtime Board of Education member for the L'Anse Creuse Public Schools District resigned because she's moving out of the district, school officials announced Tuesday.

Trustee Teresa (Teri) Taggart will officially step down April 1 after more than 14 years of service for the district.

Anyone interested in filling her seat on the board until the May 8 school election, should submit their name, application letter and qualifications to the district by 4 p.m. March 29. Applicants must be 18 years or older and be a registered voter in the L'Anse Creuse district. Submissions may be mailed to:
