Six ABS Teachers Take Early Retirements

School board approved the plan to save the district money.

Six Anchor Bay School District teachers opted for early retirements that were approved this month by the Board of Education.

The buyouts are to save the district about $250,000, according to Anchor Bay Schools Business Director Kyle Anderson. 

The district initially sought more interest in the early retirement option, but another buyout will not be offered at year end, Anderson said.
