L'Anse Creuse Coaches Among 15 Inducted to Macomb County Coaches Hall of Fame

The coaches represent schools from across the county, including those in L'Anse Creuse Public Schools.

The Macomb County Coaches Hall of Fame added 15 members Thursday night during a ceremony in Sterling Heights.

Coaches from L'Anse Creuse Public Schools were among those honored, according to The Macomb Daily. They are:

Edmond Carleton (Cousino); Joyce Christmann (L’Anse Creuse);Bob Giles (Mount Clemens); Bobby Hill (Stevenson); Matt Joseph (Utica Ford, East Detroit); Bob Lefkowitz (L’Anse Creuse); Ann Marie Michol (De La Salle, Regina); Joe Michol (De La Salle, Utica); Jim Plutschuck (Utica, Roseville Sacred Heart); Brad Robinson (Warren Woods-Tower, Fraser); Steve Vercammen (Roseville, De La Salle) and Michael Giannone (Dakota).

Distinguished Service awards went to Sue Balow, L’Anse Creuse and Carla Thompson, Eisenhower. Robin Dilday, athletic director for Utica Community Schools, received the Jack Francis Award of Merit, according to the newspaper.

Plaques commemorating the honors are to be hung at Joe Dumars Fieldhouse in Shelby Township.
