Oresti Gets Things Done for Anchor Bay Cheer

Jennifer Oresti gets stuff done.

As a senior for the cheerleading squad, Oresti uses her natural charm and energy to motivate her teammates to be their best. She created the team’s theme for the season–G.S.D. (Get Stuff Done).

“Every day she shows up and does just that,” Anchor Bay cheer assistant coach Melissa Westrick said. “She gets stuff done. She has an awesome personality and always tries to make someone laugh with her random sayings. She is a natural leader and has many qualities that make her a special asset to the team. She always wants the best and tries new things to improve both herself and the team.”

Not only can Oresti get up and dance in front of anyone, she has all of the elements that make an outstanding cheerleader.

“Jen is what we call a ‘triple threat’ when it comes to cheer,” said Westrick. “She can tumble, stunt and is flexible. She is a natural when is comes to this sport and her personality only adds to her ability to do well.”

“As coaches, we can only hope to have someone as talented, dedicated and motivated on our teams as Jen,” said Anchor Bay coach Heather Mills.

Oresti, president and founder of G.S.D., adds that her favorite quote is, "I'm on that pursuit of happiness and I know everything that shines ain't always going to be gold, but I'll be fine once I get it.”

The newest song on my iPod is "The Show Goes On" by Lupe Fiasco.

Who is your favorite teacher at Anchor Bay and why?
My favorite teacher is Mr. Cruz because he is like a grandpa to me. He is always caring and I can go to him for anything.

What are your hobbies outside of cheer?
Cheer is my life! When I’m not cheering, though, I enjoy being with my friends, going on my Jet Ski and wakeboarding.

What are your plans after graduation?
After graduation I plan on going to college to major in premed.
