2012 Bay-Rama Fishfly Festival Schedule

The annual Bay-Rama Fishfly Festival kicks off this week in downtown New Baltimore. Among the family-friendly attractions: rides, fireworks, a beauty pageant, parade and more. See the full schedule of events here.

3 p.m.
MIDWAY OPENS with MID AMERICA SHOWS. Discounts are available for the festival in local publications, including the event brochure and www.bay-rama.com. Guests can receive $3.00 off one $20 wristband. One coupon per person. Individual tickets available all day. Height restrictions on some rides. Ride all day wristbands not sold two hours prior to midway closing. 3 p.m.

On Common Ground A husband and wife acoustic duet that has played all over Michigan. No cover charge. During the pageant anyone under 21 must be accompanied by an adult after the pageant no one under 21 allowed. 7 p.m.
CHICKEN CHUCKEN contests Children’s contests: Boys/Girls ages 7-9 and Boys/Girls 10-12.

KIDS DAY / PETTING FARM KIDS DAY sponsored by Fifth Third Bank for ages 12 & under.  This is a non-stop funfest of FREE games and activities with prizes for everyone.  Joining us this year is will be various Law Enforcement Officials to show the kid’s different aspects of their organization. Again this year we are featuring the popular petting farm, sponsored by Fifth Third Bank who is also sponsoring the Bike Raffle. We will be giving away one boy’s bike and one girl’s bike at 5:30 pm.  Be sure to register between 12:00 & 2:00 in the Kids Day Tent or at the Bay-Rama Headquarter’s trailer prior to the drawing. Children 12 & under only please!You need not be present to win. The kids will enjoy music today provides by DJ- “TOP DOG” Noon – 8 p.m.

BOAT CONSTRUCTION BEGINS Boat construction begins in Burke Park on the waterfront. Registration fee is $10.00 per boat & includes cardboard, one roll of duct tape & knife. All boats are built onsite that day. Prizes for 1st across the finish line, best built boat, & the Titanic (first to sink.) 4:30 p.m.
CARDBOARD BOAT REGATTA RACING BEGINS! 6- 8 p.m.
TALENT SHOWCASE Czigany World Fusion Dance, a belly dancing troupe, will perform. Stick around after the show for a free belly dancing lesson. 8 p.m.-12:30 a.m.
