Gas Prices Fall in Chesterfield Ahead of July 4 Holiday

The lowest gas price in Chesterfield Township was $3.39 per gallon on Friday and AAA predicts prices will continue to fall as the July 4 holiday approaches.

Whether you're packing up to leave town or picking up a few last-minute items for your Fourth of July backyard barbecue, chances are you will need to fill up the old gas tank.

You're in luck this week as gas prices continue to drop, inching ever closer to the $3 mark.

The average price of a gallon of regular unleaded gas is currently $3.41 in Michigan, according to MichiganGasPrices.com. That's down 14 cents from the start of the week and may still not be the lowest price we see before July 4.

Around 1.4 million Michigan residents are expected to travel for the July 4 holiday, which is the highest projection since 2008, according to AAA estimates.

The lowest price in Chesterfield Township Friday was $3.39 at the gas station and Speedy Q at 26 Mile near County Line Road, according to gasbuddy.com. See a complete list of the cheapest gas prices in the township here.
