Mark Your Calendar: Wednesday is Free Slurpee Day

7-Eleven is turning 85 and, per tradition, the chain is offering patrons free 7.11-ounce Slurpees on Wednesday.

Customers can grab a mini Slurpee from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday at stores throughout the Chesterfield Township area. However, the free Slurpees are only available while supplies last, so you'll want to get yours as soon as possible.

Since 2002, millions of free Slurpees have been given away on July 11 and 7-Eleven estimates this will be the biggest birthday giveaway to date. Nationwide, the company expects to hand out 7 million free Slurpees. 

The Slurpee drink itself is celebrating 45 years of icy goodness. To mark this milestone, 7-Eleven is hosting the Big Summer Sweeps, during which customers can peel, play and win using game pieces found on specially marked products throughout the store. The sweeps continue through the end of August, with the chance to win grand prizes like a PepsiMax VIP trip package to the football championship or a BMW Motorbike F800 GS.
