Over 150 participants and 15 teams will camp out for 24 hours at the school, beginning at 10 a.m. Saturday morning, with all proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society. The teams have raised a combined amount of nearly $15,000 thus far.
Among the participants are survivors, loved ones of those who have been affected, students, and those who want to fight back and put a stop to this horrible disease.
According to the ACS website, relays are 24 hours in length because "cancer never sleeps."
Beginning with a special opening ceremony, the Relay for Life will host different themed events throughout the day and night, including Survivor and Caregiver laps.
