Hats On! MCREST to Host Mad Hatter Tea Party on May 19

The first annual event will take place at the Cedar Glen Golf Club in New Baltimore on May 19.

Don't be late, late for a very important date.

Everyone is invited May 19 to the first Mad Hatter Tea Party, sponsored by MCREST (Macomb County Rotating Emergency Shelter Team) at the in New Baltimore. 

"We encourage mothers and daughters, sisters and friends and grandmothers to come and enjoy a day together," said Laurie Huff, MCREST Development Assistant, of the Alice in Wonderland themed event.

Lunch, basket raffles, door prizes, entertainment and more will add to the fun and unexpectedness of the afternoon.

In operation since 1988, MCREST provides safe shelter, three meals per day, transportation, a place to sleep, laundry and bathing facilities to the homeless 365 days per year.

If you are unable to attend the Mad Hatter Tea Party this year but still wish to donate, MCREST will gladly accept items needed including men’s, women’s and children’s socks and underwear, toothbrushes, toothpaste and razors.
