Miss Chesterfield Pageant, Relay For Cure and More

Where/When: ; Thursday, May 12, 4:30-5:30 p.m.
Why Go: "Outer Space Book Bonanza” is the theme for the Fun Time session at the library. Kids will get to explore other planets and worlds with games, crafts and stories.

Where/When: Macomb Center for the Performing Arts; Friday, May 13, 8 p.m.
Why Go: Enjoy the Macomb Symphony Orchestra's visiting The Beatles' catalog as they put a symphonic spin on all their greatest hits, including selections from Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and more.
Pricing: $18 adult; $15 student/senior.

Where/When: Downtown Rochester, at Third and Water streets; May 13-15.
Why Go: Think green and great fun, as this festival celebrates the earth and all things renewable. Events are planned each day, from live music and fine food to a parade and pep rally on Sunday.
Pricing: Festival is free.

Why Go:  Who is the fairest of them all? Find out at the Miss Chesterfield Pageant.

Where/When: Metro Beach Metropark, 31300 Metropolitan Pkwy, Harrison Township; 10 a.m.-3 p.m. May 14.
Why Go: It's International Migratory Bird Day, and Metro Beach Metropark is celebrating with bird hikes, activities and crafts. Learn what you can do in your backyard to help birds throughout the year. Make and take a milk carton bird feeder or robin nest box while supply lasts.
Pricing: Program is free, but crafts have a fee: $2 for bird feeder/$7 for robin nest box. Call 586-463-4332 to register.

Why Go: Camp out and walk the track to help benefit the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life to to battle cancer.
