The Fraternal Order of Police-112 is located on 24 Mile Road just west of Baker Street. This fraternal order is the world's largest organization of law enforcement officers. The FOP started in 1915 to serve the law enforcement community. The Michigan branch of the FOP was founded in 1939, with over 7,500 active members and 70 lodges that serve as both recreational facilities and community halls. Lodge 112 was started in 1947 and purchased the 10-acre property on 24 Mile Road in 1969 building the new facility in 2000.
