Hallmark Gold Crown is located on 23 Mile Road on the corner of Altman. It is much more than just a greeting card company; its product line ranges from paper party supplies, gifts and wrapping paper to ornaments and decorative items for the home, memory-keeping picture frames, albums and scrapbooks, e-cards, mobile greetings and customized photo cards. Not bad for a company started by a 9-year-old selling perfume door to door. That's how it all began 100 years ago when little Joyce Clyde Hall got off a train in Kansas City, Missouri. His motto, which is well known now, was "When you care enough," which to him meant to put service and quality first. That's what he did then and what every independently owned Hallmark Gold Crown does now.
