I was a member here for 3.5 years. About six months ago I received an assignment that has me working 70 miles away. Since then I have not used the gym a single time and have paid my dues every month. This past month I was told the assignment would last a few more months so I went in and told "P" the owner I needed to cancel my membership for a while. He was nice at first like a typical salesman, said he would cancel it right away but then informed me that he would have to charge me for one more month as it is in the contract. I get it, a contract is a contract but what he said next floored me. "P" then said to me, “Hey, I'm a business man and as I said it is in the contract, I can show you if you would like”. I just want to be honest and warn people of exactly who they would be to the owner of this gym. A number and a contract, period. Hey "P", in case you are reading this Mr. Business man, here is some business 101. 3-6 months of no dues then your customer returns feeling like they were a member of your gym = approximately $34.99 a month times another 40 years, God willing. Overall that is a potential $16,795.20 without inflation. Your way, $34.99 x 1 month and never again = $34.99 Total. Good business sense. So if you want to just be a number and work out in a deteriorating gym, this is your place. Nothing to gain here for me although to be completely honest, I would like to see him get what he deserves which is absolutely nothing. Members beware!
