May is National Bike Month in which the public is encouraged to keep cyclists' safety in mind.
With warm weather upon us, Macomb County drivers are encouraged to keep biker safety in mind. May is National Bike Month and this week is Bike to Work Week. Although the county claims trails for cyclists and runners, including a new path on County Line Road in New Baltimore, bikers' rights are also crucial alongside roads. The Macomb County Coaches Hall of Fame added 15 members Thursday night during a ceremony in Sterling Heights. Coaches from L'Anse Creuse Public Schools were among those honored, according to The Macomb Daily. Golfers can now take to the links of Lake St. Clair Metropark golf course, weather permitting.
The par-3 golf course at Lake St. Clair Metropark is now open for play, weather permitting. The course, which also features a putting green, is open for play from 8 a.m. until dusk. Rates are $6 for weekdays, $7 for weekends and holidays. Seniors, 62 and over, and juniors, 20 and under, is $5 Monday through Friday, holidays not included.
