In Video: Airman Returns From Afghanistan to Surprise Daughters at Chesterfield School

U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Mario Jimenez made a special appearance Thursday at Higgins Elementary School.

U.S. Air Force Staff Sgt. Mario Jimenez, who has been stationed in Afghanistan since Jan. 28, surprised his two daughters Thursday at Higgins Elementary in Chesterfield Township. Students were called to school's cafeteria to discuss Bucket Fillers, Higgins' positive behavior support program designed to encourage students to respect and care for others. When Principal Susan Trebilcock asked students who had parents in the military, Jimenez's oldest daughter, fifth-grader Dahlia, was called to the stage. After saying how much she missed her dad, Jimenez surprised her from behind a curtain.
