Clinton Township police say Alontez Willis committed armed robbery in Clinton Township the day before he was arrested for the same crime in Chesterfield.
Police say the same man now facing multiple felony charges for allegedly committing armed robbery in Chesterfield on Oct. 28 carried out a similar crime in Clinton Township the day before. Alontez Willis, 18 of Mount Clemens, was arraigned Oct. 29 in 42-2 District Court in New Baltimore on charges of armed robbery, a life felony; felony firearm, a two-year mandatory felony; and possession of a stolen firearm, a 10-year felony. His bond was set at $200,000 cash. Chesterfield police say Willis robbed a 19-year-old Warren man at gunpoint near the Bed, Bath and Beyond at 50551 Waterside before fleeing the scene. Police say they are searching for a 50-year-old Mount Clemens man who allegedly stabbed another man Tuesday at the Gratiot motel.
Clinton Township police are searching for a 50-year-old Mount Clemens resident accused of stabbing another man Tuesday afternoon at the Royal Motel on Gratiot. The victim, a 37-year-old Pontiac man, told police he was staying at the motel on 34410 Gratiot Ave. with a friend when the suspect and another individual came to visit. When the friend left for work, the three were still in the room and an argument broke out between the victim and the suspect, according to the police report. Want more local and breaking news? Clinton Township Police are searching for a white male in his mid 30s who robbed the Fifth Third Bank on Hayes and 18 Mile Friday afternoon. Wearing a floppy white hat with a yellow hard hat on top and a bright yellow reflective vest, the man entered the bank at 40980 Hayes Road around 3:44 p.m. Friday. Tellers told police he spent several minutes filling out a deposit slip before approaching the counter. Upon reaching the counter, he passed a note to the teller reading, “This is a hold up.” The note also said that he didn’t want to hurt anyone and ordered that no dye packs put in with the money, according to the police report. The teller gave him $1,606 in cash, which the suspect put in a duffel bag before walking out. Surveillance video …
