A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned for noon June 8 to unveil Chesterfield Township's splash park, according to the township. The water attraction inside Brandenburg Park was made possible by a donation from the Webber Family Foundation. It has been dubbed by the township as the Cedar Point of Chesterfield and will include 16 fountains in the park overlooking Anchor Bay off Jefferson. The ceremony is free and open to the public. Brandenburg Park admission will be waived during that time for attendees, township Supervisor Michael Lovelock said.

The speed measuring awareness trailer will be positioned along streets with frequent speeders.
New Baltimore drivers will soon notice an electronic sign that posts their speed as they travel down main or side streets. The newly purchased Speed Measuring Awareness Trailer, also known as a SMART sign, was bought from Huntington Woods police at auction for $600 and decorated for local police for about another $400. The sign will be positioned on some of the streets that have frequent speeders, including Jefferson, St. Clair Drive and Ridge Road. But, police …
