Menards Announces Opening Date for Chesterfield Township Store
The home improvement retailer recently finished construction of a spacious store off Interstate 94 and Hall Road.
Menards will open its first store in the region Feb. 19 in Chesterfield Township, the retailer announced early this week. “We are really excited to open the doors to our first store in the Detroit-metro area. Homeowners, tenants, business owners and contractors will now have great access to a full-line of building materials and supplies at the lowest prices in the area," Menards spokesman Jeff Abbott stated in a news release. The retailer, which has locations across the Midwest, sells anything from garden supplies to brand appliances. The township store will feature a line of convenience groceries "as a one-stop shopping experience." Menards is Now Hiring in Chesterfield Township
The home improvement store is slated to open late this winter, according to a company spokesman.
An expansive home improvement store is hiring for various positions in Chesterfield Township, according to the business. Menards is looking to fill in-store sales positions, as well as checkout and yard jobs. Candidates can go to directly to the store on Hall Road near Interstate 94 next the Walmart Supercenter to fill out an application and have a brief interview at the time, Menards spokesman Jeff Abbott said Tuesday. Anyone interested in applying for work may also go to the store website. "We are always looking for good people who are interested in putting in a good day’s work for a good day’s pay," Abbott said. Chesterfield Paving Way for New Home Repair Store
Menards, which has 250 stores across the Midwest, plans to open in summer on Hall Road, according to multiple community officials.
Local residents who love sprucing up their homes may have another shopping option by fall in Chesterfield Township. Township Supervisor Michael Lovelock said plans are set for Menards, a Midwest home improvement retailer, to develop a store this summer on vacant land between Walmart Supercenter and I-94 on the north side of Hall Road. The company has submitted site plans to the township, which have been approved, and now they are in the engineering phase, township Planning Director Janice Giese said this week. Since there's already a retention pond nearby the proposed store, the infrastructure should accommodate the development, Chesterfield Building Director Shawn Shortt said.
