Rapper to Help Raise Funds for Shores-Based Dog Rescue in Chesterfield Township

Rapper Hush will be among the performers helping open a new Chesterfield Township concert venue while raising funds for the Detroit Dog Rescue.

Grosse Pointe Woods rapper Hush will join the Howling Diablos to open Club Diesel on Saturday, Jan. 19 in Chesterfield Township. The show at the new concert and entertainment venue at 33151 23 Mile Road in the Premier Lanes complex is also a fundraiser for St. Clair Shores-based Detroit Dog Rescue. Daniel “Hush” Carlisle, a Detroit Music Award Winner who has performed with Eminem, and co-founder Monica Martino established the Detroit Dog Rescue with a mission of founding the city’s first no-kill shelter. Several People Targeted in Chesterfield Drive-By Paintball Shooting

Township police are trying to identify the suspects in the Aug. 16 attack.

Chesterfield Township police are looking for several teens responsible for a drive-by paintball shooting that targeted multiple people in the community. Around 10 p.m. Aug. 16, police responded to a neighborhood on D.W. Seaton between 23 and 24 Mile roads. Three female home owners who had converged on a front porch reported a car pulling up, with the male driver shouting vulgarities, and then paintballs were fired toward the women from inside the vehicle. Salvation Army Relocates to Chesterfield

The store on Green Street in New Baltimore will remain open until Aug. 24.

Salvation Army is moving down the road next month. The store on Green Street in New Baltimore, which is currently offering a "blow-out sale," will close Aug. 24. It will reopen Aug. 25 in the Premiere Lanes plaza in Chesterfield Township. Township Supervisor Michael Lovelock said the business is a welcome addition in town and credited the plaza landlord for working hard to fill vacancies in the strip.
