Who's Hiring in New Baltimore? Rec Department to Look for Lifeguards
Candidates must be certified lifeguards. Training is available in a session at the Anchor Bay Aquatic Center.
It’s hardly bathing suit weather, but aspiring lifeguards should start practicing their breast strokes. New Baltimore Parks and Recreation will hire about eight lifeguards for the summer season at Burke beach in the near future. “It would be a great summer job for college kids,” Recreation Director Brian Kay said Wednesday. There will be a total of about 10-12 lifeguards on various shifts, some of whom are returning from last summer, Kay said. But in order to be eligible, candidates must be certified. Anyone interested in applying who is not certified, may take the Lifeguard Certification Class that runs from noon to 4 p.m. Saturdays, April 6-June 1, except May 25, at the Anchor Bay Aquatic Center.
