Jacket weather, falling leaves and the frozen custard stand closing. We're officially entering the cold season in Chesterfield Township. World's Finest Frozen Custard's final day of the season is Oct. 28. It's open from 11-9 p.m. Last spring, owner Gary Sodini, AKA Big Gary, told Patch he credits the popularity of his business on 23 Mile to good products, service and prices. Soldini, a snow bird, opens his seasonal business in March and it's a summer destination for many township families and visitors.

Little Camille's By the Bay added a patio this month, bringing outdoor dining to downtown New Baltimore.
Dining al fresco with the breeze sweeping in from nearby Anchor Bay has become an option this summer in downtown New Baltimore. Little Camille's By the Bay, which officially opened April 1 on Washington Street, set up an outdoor patio in recent days and is working on obtaining permission from the state to serve alcohol on the patio as well, owner and chef Mark Miller said Friday. Since the patio is in the historic district, it required approval from the city's Historic Commission, Planning Commission and City Council. The total process took about two months, but city officials ensured the request was handled as quickly as possible, Miller said.
