New Baltimore Gas Station Embezzlement Case Heads to Macomb County Circuit Court
A New Baltimore woman faces embezzlement and possession of marijuana charges.
An embezzlement case stemming from a New Baltimore gas station was bound over to Macomb County Circuit Court. New Baltimore resident Taylor Klein, 21, waived her preliminary exam Jan. 2 in 42-2 District Court. Klein is expected to have a pretrial hearing and arraignment at the higher court in Mount Clemens Jan. 14 before Circuit Judge Mary Chrzanowski, according to court officials and records. Klein faces a 15-year felony of embezzlement between $50,000 to $100,000 for allegedly stealing approximately $60,000 from her employer at the Sunoco gas station on 23 Mile Road. She is suspected of fishing cash out of the top of a safe deposit slip, police said. On Dec. 17, police responded to a report of $10,000 to $15,000 missing from the safe. …
