I've been a journalist for the past 11 years. I graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit with a bachelor's in journalism. During that time, I worked as a freelance writer for several local publications and completed internships in and out of state. Afterward, I worked as a news reporter for the Detroit Free Press for six years, where I covered communities, crime, growth and development and much more. While reporting high-profile criminal cases, I've had stories appear in publications across the country, including USA Today.

Although I've done an array of investigative and enterprise pieces, I also enjoy writing features, including arts and entertainment stories and profiles.
