The annual Make A Difference Day event is Oct. 5 at the recreation center on Washington Street.

The 18th annual Make A Difference Day will offer free vaccinations, flu shots, health screening and family-friendly activities from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the New Baltimore Recreation Center.

The event, chaired by Councilwoman Florence Hayman and Clerk Marcia Shinska, also features a magician, petting farm, children's crafts, face painting, hot dogs, beverages, local fire and police departments and more. Vaccinations and flu shots for children and adults with Medicaid or Medicare are free while there's a $15 fee for all other adults, according to organizers.
