MDOT: Work Taking Place at I-94, I-696 Interchange

Crews are fixing a drainage structure in the left lane.

The Interstate 94 and Interstate 696 interchange has gone down to one lane as crews repair a faulty drainage structure, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation.

The work in Macomb County means the left lane of the existing two-lane ramp from I-94 to westbound I-696 will be shut down for at least one week. Crews are fixing the drainage structure in the left lane. The right lane of the ramp is expected to remain open during the repair, MDOT said.
