Bites Nearby: Buffalo Wild Wings

One of Chesterfield's newer dining options is a flavorful restaurant and sports bar.

Each week, New Baltimore-Chesterfield Township Patch and readers highlight a restaurant in town or nearby for you to sink your teeth in.

What's on the menu this week:

Buffalo Wild Wings

Overview: The popular chain opened a restaurant in the Target plaza at 23 Mile and Gratiot in Chesterfield. It's the kind of place where you can kick back with a cold beer and watch a sports game or take the family out for some tasty grub.

Drinks: A full bar with a large selection of drafts and bottled beers, as well as signature mixed drinks and wine. For alcohol-free options, try one of the flavored lemonade drinks, such as berry, huckleberry or mango lemonades. Of course, there's always the traditional American soft drink, Coke, to cap off a spicy wing.

Appetizers: A pretty lengthy list includes delicious sour cream-and-chive potato wedges, Ultimate Nachos with virtually everything on them, a selection of bite-sized sandwiches called Slammers and a vast selection of bar food like mozzarella sticks, onion rings and chips and salsa.

Salads: Honey BBQ chicken salad, grilled blackened chicken salad, chicken Caesar salad and more bring some greens to the plate. Quite a few of the salads are served with grilled chicken if you're counting calories or just trying to stay away from fried foods.

Entrees: They don't call it Buffalo Wild Wings for nothing. You can get any portion from six to 50 wings that are boneless or with the bone. Then, choose just how hot you can handle them with a vast selection of sauces. Try blue cheese dressing and celery with them. Sandwiches, burgers and combo platters are also served.

Dessert: New York cheesecake, deep-dish apple pie or chocolate fudge cake round out the sweets.

Signature dish: Variety of wings.
