Crime Blotter: Store Flasher Exposes Buns in Meat Department

The following information was supplied by Chesterfield Township police. Arrest information does not indicate convictions.

A Mount Clemens man was arrested in late December for mooning a meat department worker at in Chesterfield Township.

Around 9:30 p.m. Dec. 27, responded to the store at 45400 Marketplace after an employee in the meat department reported the man exposed his buttocks to her. Children nearby the man were laughing at the incident, according to a police report.

When an officer spoke to the suspect, he claimed he was not trying to expose himself, only that he was adjusting his pants that were too tight. However, he later admitted pulling down his pants as a joke, police said.

"I was just trying to be funny," he told police. "It's not like my butt was in her face. She only saw a little bit of crack."

The man, whose age and identity was not released, was booked on suspicion of indecent exposure and released from police custody, pending the issuance of a warrant. He had been arrested in the township several months prior for a separate crime, police said.
