Panera Bread Customer Orders, Thief Takes Car to Go

Car thief dashes while driver dines
A woman reported that someone stole her parents' 1990 Dodge Spirit while she ate inside Panera Bread on Gratiot near 23 Mile, according to police.
The driver and her daughter went inside the restaurant the evening of Feb. 7 for about 10 minutes, leaving the keys inside the unlocked car. When they returned, the vehicle was missing and no suspects were known, the report stated.
The car, which is baby blue with a cracked windshield, was entered into the LEIN system as stolen, the report states.
