Shelby Township Man Allegedly Strikes Two Pedestrians With Car

A Chesterfield Township man and Hazel Park woman suffered non life-threatening injuries, police said.

A 19-year-old Shelby Township driver jumped a curb and struck two people on Hall Road Sunday night, according to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office. 

The driver was leaving a car show around 10 p.m. in the ABC Warehouse parking lot in Macomb Township when he squealed his tires on the Ford Mustang and began to fishtail, police said. 

The car struck a 19-year-old Chesterfield Township man and a 20-year-old Hazel Park woman before the driver fled the scene, police said.

The victims were taken to a nearby hospital for non life-threatening injuries. A third person at the scene suffered a broken finger. Deputies said the driver is expected to face reckless driving charges.
