Woman Arrested in Hit-and-Run of Bicyclist

The Milford woman is accused of fleeing the scene after striking a teenage girl on her bike in the Jefferson and Crocker area in Harrison Township.

A Milford woman was arrested Friday for fleeing the scene after she allegedly struck a 17-year-old Harrison Township girl riding her bike, the Macomb County Sheriff's Office reported this weekend.

Margaret Fronczak was charged with failing to stop at the scene of a serious injury accident. She was placed on a $50,000 cash bond, police stated in a news release.

The charge stems from an accident at 10:54 p.m. June 16 at Jefferson and Crocker in Harrison Township. Witnesses reported a 2003-07 black Toyota Corolla veer off the road and strike the teen riding her bike south on the northbound shoulder. The driver left the scene, heading northbound on Jefferson, with damage to the front passenger side of the car, police said.
